Many cities have a Chinatown. Seattle's Chinatown is part of the International District, the center of Seattle's Asian American community, and incudes Chinese, Filipino, Japanese, Vietnamese, Thai, Laotian and other Southeast Asian communities. The neighborhood offers a number of shops and restaurants, specialty groceries and the Wing Luke Asian Museum, all at the south end of Seattle's downtown and Pioneer Square neighborhood.
Historic Chinatown Gate (Z13A0010)
The International District's Historic Chinatown Gate is actually a fairly recent addition to the neighborhood. Construction was completed in early 2008.
