Lincoln Towing Toe Truck
Museum of History & Industry, 860 Terry Ave N
Back in the early 1980s, one-time owner of Seattle's Lincoln Towing - Ed Lincoln - was inspired to create two trucks modified to look like a pair of feet, each with a full set of toes. And with this effort, two "toe trucks" were born. The trucks soon became a popular parade feature and could be rented for weddings, parties and unique rides.
Lincoln and his wife Connie retired in 2000 and eventually found a home for the first of the toe trucks at Seattle's Museum of History and Industry. The newer of the two remains with the company that acquired Lincoln Towing.
