Nordic Heritage Museum
3014 NW 67th St
Seattle has a strong Scandinavian heritage, with Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, Finnish and Icelandic immigrants settling in the city, especially in its Ballard neighborhood, to work in the local fishing and shipbuilding industries. The Nordic Heritage Museum celebrates that heritage.
The museum hosts annual Viking Days (formerly Tivoli Days) and Yulefest events. The Ballard neighborhood is home to a big Norwegian Constitution Day (Syttende Mai) parade and celebration.
