Benewah Milk Bottle Buildings
321 S Cedar St; 802 W Garland Ave
Dairy merchant Paul E. Newport through his Benewah Dairy Company built some stores in Spokane in the 1930s in the shape of milk bottles. One is located in downtown Spokane on South Cedar Street. The other is located on Garland Avenue in the Garland Historical District.
Neither is a dairy store today. The Garland building is now the Mary Lou's Milk Bottle restaurant. The Cedar Street building was once the headquarters of the Spokane County Democratic Committee. In 2010, Time.com included it as one of the top 50 roadside attractions in the U.S.
