924 W Garland Ave
I like old-style movie houses. Although the Garland isn't as old as some - it opened in 1945 - the sign and Art Deco architecture caught my eye.
At the time it first opened, the Garland was one of the most advanced movie houses on the West Coast, featuring innovations that we take for granted today, such as a snack counter and the ability to buy music and items related to the movies. After a period of decline, it was reopened as a discount movie theater.
