The Windmill Restaurant
1501 N Wenatchee Ave
The Windmill was built in 1931 by Donald Holland who aspired to own his own restaurant. But things didn't work out for him, and the restaurant was opened by others as a typical "roadhouse" restaurant that developed a bit of a reputation for bootleg alcohol during Prohibition. But over time it evolved into a more standard restaurant, and by the late 1950s it was a steak house, which it remains to this day.
