Walk Along Dallas Road

Follows Victoria's coast, south of the city center
When you reach the south end of Victoria's Beacon Hill Park, you're on Dallas Road. Following Dallas Road west along the coast and then as it turns north before ending at Fisherman's Wharf is a pleasant walking route for returning to the city center. It features flowers, coastline and views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca and the distant Olympic Mountains of Washington state.

Swimmer Marilyn Bell (V09A0232)
In 1956, Marilyn Bell became the first woman to swim across the Strait of Juan de Fuca from Port Angeles, Washington to Victoria, a distance of about 25 miles.
